Barnaba Korir, the Youth and Sub-Committee Chairman of Athletics Kenya (AK), staunchly advocates for the prominence of kids’ athletics in shaping the future of the sport.
At the Sirikwa Classic cross-country event held on February 4th, the commencement of the Gold label affair saw the spirited initiation of 1km races for boys and girls aged 6-14 years.
According to Korir, this segment holds significance beyond merely serving as a prelude to the main event, signifying a deeper investment in the development and nurturing of young talent within the sport.
