The 34th edition of the Nike Discovery Kenya Cross Country, scheduled for January 26, 2025, at Eldoret Sports Club, is poised to draw a significant turnout across all race categories.
This prestigious event has long served as a crucial platform for talent identification, with previous editions witnessing large numbers of young participants competing in various age groups.
The race features categories for children, including the 500m for 5-6 years, 1km for 7-9 years, and 2km for 10-12 years for both boys and girls. In addition, the event will showcase elite competitions, including the 6km U20 Women, 8km U20 Men, 8km Senior Women, and 10km Senior Men races.
According to Race Director David Letting, preparations for this year’s edition are well underway. He emphasized the race’s pivotal role in discovering young talent, many of whom have gone on to achieve success on the international stage, representing Kenya in global competitions.
Previous editions have seen impressive participation from young athletes, offering them invaluable experience and motivation to pursue their athletic dreams.
